New Large Range and Medium Range Cranes from HMF
Since 1945 we have developed and produced quality cranes with Power to Lift and over the last six months we have supplied the biggest cranes until so far; the HMF 7020 and HMF 9520 and a brand new mid-range series; HMF 1610, HMF 1620, HMF 1910, HMF 1920, HMF 2310, HMF 2320, HMF 2810 and HMF 2820 - all of them designed with optimum lift-to-weight ratio. Quality, safety and strength are keywords, but great importance is also attached to user-friendliness and efficiency with new functions such as Cabin Anti-Crash, Priority Flow Control, automatic hoist control, new stabilizers and colour display.
New Large Range Cranes with extra Power to Lift
HMF 7020 and HMF 9520 have both been designed for particularly demanding lifting tasks and assembly work.
Optimum Lifting Capacity and Reduced Space Requirements
Just like all our cranes, the new large range cranes have an excellent lift-to-weight ratio. They can be supplied with a specially adapted Fly-Jib for an optimum lifting capacity. If minimum space requirements are needed, the cranes can be delivered with an optimised boom system offering extra space saving dimensions on the truck body. At the same time, the optimised boom system gives an extra long crane reach.
New User-Friendly and Efficient Power Features
The cranes can be delivered with a range of new “Power” features. “Power Hoist” is a new hoist solution where hoist and crane are working synchronously, so the crane folds and unfolds with the wire rope fitted. ”Power Swing” are new, hydraulic swing-up stabilizer legs, where all stabilizer functions can be operated at the same time faster operation, and where the stabilizer valve block can be operated manually. ”Power Display” is a brand new colour display giving access to help information and graphic illustrations for an easier and quicker operation.
Precise Control
The cranes are equipped with a new 2-gear slewing system that gives an even smoother operation and precise positioning. Our well-known RCL Safety System is also upgraded with two new functions - PCC and PFC.
The PCC (Progressive Crane Control) reduces both the mechanical and hydraulic oscillations in case of sudden movements so that the crane movements become smoother, efficiency is increased, and wear is reduced. PFC (Priority Flow Control) controls the oil flow when operation needs more oil flow than the pump can supply. This ensures that the crane functions do not stop, which gives a better operating economy and a high working speed.
Focus on Safety with the Original EVS Stability Safety System
We are always in the lead when crane safety is at stake. That’s why the new cranes are also equipped, among other things, with EVS - the original stability safety system, which during crane operation constantly monitors the stability of the vehicle and increases the working area of the crane by calculating improved stability conditions from e.g. the load on the truck. If you want to switch the EVS off, we have a new function - AutoSwitch - that deactivates the EVS in the side, where the stabilizer beam is fully extended, and the stabilizer leg is lowered to the ground. It’s a requirement, however, that during the stability test, the crane fitter has made sure the vehicle is stable with the correct CYBEL support.
New Mid-range Cranes with particularly Smooth and User-Friendly Operation
The new cranes in the mid-range have all been designed for smooth and user-friendly operation. For instance, for builders’ merchants.
New, User-Friendly Features - high Speed and precise Control
The SBC (Slew Braking Control) ensures a damping of the hydraulic variations in pressure and a reduction in the number of these variations. Crane operation becomes smoother and the impact on the crane components is reduced, whereby wear and tear on the crane components is reduced and a higher re-sale value is maintained. Fast slewing movements are very precisely and efficiently braked without any swinging movements, and the work (typically loading and unloading with grab at long reach) can be carried out faster. As the phenomenon typically appears during very intensive use with a high oil flow, the SBC will not be required at normal, moderate crane operation.
A big-size oil cooler available as an option, so you can operate the crane at high speed for a long time without the oil being over-heated.
Increased Strength, optimised Life Span and easy Repair
The main boom has a new design and the column has reinforcements to obtain optimum strength. The swivel suspension traverse also has an updated design with structural optimisations ensuring remarkably reduced space requirements when installing the crane. The main components of the crane have a new design and thereby obtain increased strength without increasing the tare weight. The steel quality is ultra-high tensile steel.
The new Fly-Jibs for the new mid-range cranes have been made for optimal fit with the cranes and thereby provide even more capacity in high positions.
Connecting pins in new design with remarkably improved strength and corrosion resistance have been implemented. Other fittings have also been changed so that corrosion resistance is remarkably improved.
