Passing the baton from one experienced leader to another

The Danish manufacturer of loader cranes, HMF, announces a new CCO by June 2023.

Danish crane manufacturer HMF has appointed Olaf Fiedler as new Chief Commercial Officer of HMF Group as from June 1st 2023. The current holder of the position, Søren Them Kjær, will take on new responsibilities at HMF at his own request.

“I’m glad that we found a long-term solid solution for all parties involved, after Søren Them Kjær’s request to step aside as CCO. It's always great to maintain talent and enable career wishes inside the company. Søren Kjær has been part of HMF in two rounds; first as Export Manager for 9 years, and after a small detour, yet another 9 years as CCO. He has done a great job through the years as he is very experienced within our business and knows our customers well. Therefore, he will continue to be very valuable to HMF,” says Mikkel Winther Andersen, CEO of HMF Group A/S.

The newly appointed CCO, Olaf Fiedler, looks back on more than 20 years of experience in cargo handling and has headed the German HMF sales company for the last six years. Olaf Fiedler’s successor as Managing Director will be Thomas Hanhardt, who has very successfully built key accounts in Germany over the past three years, and also has decades of experience within the crane business.

Mikkel W. Andersen continues: “I'm excited that we have been able to fill both the CCO role, but also the position as Managing Director in Germany with such experienced managers from within our own staff. This will ensure stability and contribute to continuing the growth journey we have been on so far.”

From June 1st, HMF Group’s executive team consists of; CEO Mikkel Winther Andersen, CFO Klaus Skov Mortensen, VP Service Steen Lervad, R&D Director Mette Egestad, COO Johnny Worsøe Theil, and thus CCO Olaf Fiedler.
