HMF Takes Athens to New Heights

At HMF, we’re always eager to hear from customers working with our cranes around the world. This time, our journey takes us south to Greece, where we had the pleasure of meeting Stavros Lazaridis, co-owner of Lazaridis Cranes in Athens.

From the Greek capital, Stavros and his team handle a wide range of crane operations across the country – from heavy lifts and specialized transports to precision work with personnel baskets and other demanding tasks that require absolute stability and accuracy. No two projects are alike, and each day brings new challenges for both people and machines.

To meet these challenges in the best possible way, Stavros chose an HMF 1730K4, equipped with a fly jib FJ700 K3. Having worked with several crane brands before, he knew exactly what he was looking for – and HMF proved to be the right choice:

“I chose HMF because it met all the key requirements for my work. I’ve never regretted that decision – the crane’s performance has exceeded my expectations and set a new standard for quality.”

This positive experience led Lazaridis Cranes to expand their fleet with another HMF crane. Stavros explains that a new truck is currently being prepared, which will be fitted with an HMF 5020K6 and a fly jib FJ1000 K5.

“Upgrading to a new vehicle equipped with the HMF 5020 and Fly Jib FJ1000 will allow us to meet even more customer needs and expand our service offerings.
The decision to invest in another HMF crane was based on my complete satisfaction with the previous model and the trust I’ve built in the company’s quality, performance, and reliability.”

Stavros’ passion for large machinery started long before founding his own company. With a background in mechanical engineering and experience from a workshop specializing in Mercedes truck repairs, his technical expertise and fascination with heavy equipment have been driving forces throughout his career.

A big thank you to Stavros Lazaridis for sharing his story and giving us valuable insight into how HMF cranes help tackle demanding projects across Greece.
These stories mean a lot to us at HMF, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration – and wish you every success with your new crane!
